We had a quiz last week in our Discrete Mathematics (Math102C) class and the results were given today. I was late because I and some of my group mates in CWTS finished first our group assignment for this week which is supposedly due tomorrow night but then Jaun received a text message telling us that the online submission of our assignment was moved next week. >.< Anyway, so I was late in our Math102C class and my seatmate just told me to get my paper at our professor’s desk. I got a perfect score which didn’t surprise me ‘cause, first, gahd, it’s the same with our Philosophy in our first year; second, I thought that most of us got passing scores — if not perfect – - because the exam was easy as our Prof had told us even before we began the exam. But then I was wrong, most of my classmates got low marks, some even failed the exam. Hindi ko ‘to sinasabe para magyabang – hindi ako ganon.

Then here’s the ‘nakakainis’ part:
As most of the professors do, hindi muna nila nirerecord ‘yung results – not until students have seen their scores. So before the professor left the class, nag-record muna siya ng scores. Hindi naman lahat bumagsak, but as I’ve said, most of them got low marks. Pero hindi lang din naman ako ang nakakuha ng perfect score, dalawa kame. So here’s their pag-uusap (nyeh ?):

Prof: ******. (<- yung name ng girl)
Girl: 110 po.
Prof: … Take two ka ba?
Girl: Sir, hindi po.
Prof: *sulat score*

WTH?! Nakakaewan ‘yung tanong niya! Parang ‘Hello?! ‘Pag perfect score ka ibig sabihin take two ka?!’’. Sobrang nainis talaga ako dun sa Prof although hindi ako ‘yung tinanong niya. Naman ‘di ba? Do THEY have to know that? Kung yes, para saan naman? Please.Tell.Me.

Ayoko naa.

Life is too short to be wasted on crap.

So what I have to do now is to compensate some of the quizzes I failed… and it’s not easy. I failed our first quiz in Philippine Literature. Bagong lipat lang ako so hindi ko alam ang topic nila during their first meetings. How silly of me not to be asking lectures from my new classmates. Tss. Another failed quiz in Rizal Course. Same reason. I’m hating this.

Another not so good thing. I’m really having a hard time coping up with our Physics class. One reason is I don’t really like their professor. Mas okay pa ‘yung una eh. >.< And another reason is I'm always late in this class. That's my fault I know, pero kasi hindi ko naman kayang lumipad from the Main Building (which is where I work) to Engineering building, right? My duty is until 12nn and my Physics class starts at 12nn, and Main bldg. is quite far from the Eng'g building. *sigh*

All other subjects are fine, ayoko lang talaga ng Physics. Being a working scholar isn’t easy. I’m still on the “adjusting” period and hopefully malapit na kong masanay.

Okay, so here’s how it is now:

I started getting to class in 2ISD last Friday. I thought I’ve missed any lessons because it has already been 2 weeks since classes started, but I was wrong — in some subjects that is. I hoped to have the same professors as I had in my previous section but God didn’t let me. awwwww.

Physics 104 Lecture: Mr. Binuya’s(?) class. 2ITB has Ms. Alulod as their prof. Should I be happy? Ewan. hehe. Lesson is about pressure (chapter 11 of our book), and I didn’t understand a thing when the professor started talking. err. Chapter 12 was our first topic in my previous section, looks like they haven’t yet tackled that chapter. Good for me. :) I knew it already. haha! Sa 2ITC pala ‘to since Physics classes (Laboratory and Lecture) in 2ISD had been dissolved because of the number of students enrolled in 2ISD. And guess what, 20++ lang kame sa ISD unlike other sections in ICS Department who has 40++ students.

ICS Lecture: Mr. Ponay’s class. Hmm, this time I really felt sad that I transferred section. Know why? Mr. Agbayani is our prof in 2ITB and I like his way of teaching better. I don’t know much about Sir Ponay, but I hope he’s a good professor. Java programming isn’t so easy for me so… It’s just me though.

Math 102C – Discrete Mathematics: ‘eto pa. Hay, I guess our meeting yesterday was their first meeting. Simula pa lang sila ng lecture and ‘nung sinagutan nila ‘yung first activity sa book — which I also did even though I already answered that in Mr. Cabero’s class — gahd, magkaiba ‘yung answers in some of the questions!! Now I’m confused. 0_o Mr. Cabero’s one of the writers of the book we’re using, but he’s not my professor anymore, so what do you think I should do? Sundin na lang ang bagong prof, hays. >.<

IM 101 and IM 151 Of all the classes I’ve attended in my first two days, ‘eto na yung matino. I like the profs. Hopefully I get high grades on this subjects.. :D

Ayun, so I haven’t know yet who’s our professor in RC and.. I forgot the other subject. And about my new classmates? They’re fine, but I miss being with my IT and CS classmates.

This would be really not so easy, but I know I we can do this. haha. Sama sama tayong mag-survive sa FIRST SEMESTER! :)

Anyway, I forgot to blog yesterday! haha! Hmm, na-late ako umuwi kahapon because of Transformers 2. :))

Maybe I’ll just take NABloPoMo09 seriously this August instead. :))

Anyway, so there, after so many years, I’ve got what I wanted. :) Thanks to God and to the people around me, woot! ILY people. :D

This day was even more tiring than yesterday. 0_o And I expect these exhausting days to continue especially now that I’m working as a scholar.

Morning in school was fine. I arrived at 8 am. haha. Too early for my last interview. Anyhow, the interview went well as it did before. :) Looks like I won’t be having any problems with my *supervisors*. Hopefully. xD

After that I went to see my friends in CSA at nakiseat in na rin ako sa class nila. xD Kahit kailan talaga panalo ang CS sa kasiyahan. Haha! Hey CSA people! Your seat plan’s done already! haha! I’ll bring it to you on Monday. Hahahahaha!! =))

Okay naman ang whole day. Haha. I skipped class para makauwi agad and it’s all thanks to my splitting headache. err.

I want to write more about today but I need to eat na and sleep early. Tomorrow’s going to be another tiring day.

I don’t have the same professor as them but, well, I like to make an entry about this –”what’s up with me” — too. hehe.

So, WHAT.is.UP.with.me? –> sorry, I’ve been repeating this statement for many times already. :)

If you’ve been reading my previous nonsense entries, I actually had been successful in changing my academic schedule so as not to have conflicts with MY (hopefully) working sched. Transferring of section sure is soooo not easy, I tell you. I spent the whole day walking around the university! gah. And what’s even more irritating are the bruises I’ve gained after that walking marathon. >.< But it's nothing when you get what you've been wanting from the start and the cause of all what you have been doing.

And so, I'm gonna tell you all that had happened yesterday and today. ~.~

After changing my section, Ma'am Len from the Office for Student Affairs(OSA) sent me a message telling me to report to their office for MY MUCH AWAITED job placement interview. And, as expected from someone waiting for something for so long, I was delighted after reading that message, feeling fortunate for finally (after 2 semesters of waiting) getting the chance to be a scholar. I rushed to their office but it was already 5 in the afternoon so my “supposedly” interviewer was already out of the office so I had to get back the following day.

So today, I’m off to school early though my classes are scheduled in the afternoon.

9:00 am. I arrived at UST and went directly to the OSA. What I hate about when I’m at OSA is when you have to wait for so long just to have a 5-minute talk with the person you’re intended to talk with — to Ma’am Len if you’re an applicant of the San Lorenzo scholarship program. So I had to spend, I guess, an hour sitting there at their office waiting for the letter addressed to the office that is requesting for a working scholar.

10:00 am. After receiving the letter and instructions from Ma’am Len, I immediately went to the main building where the office of Academic Affairs — the office that most probably is going to be the place I’ll be working — is located.

The interview went well and I was so happy because I can feel that being a scholar this semester is just only a few steps away. :D After the interview, I had a tour at the office and got to see the office that would soon (hopefully) be inhabited by a human female blah blah blah,… by ME. Hopefully again .

So, over all, this day was rather good. I even got to spend some time with my girlfriends and told them about the interview. I had been happy all day and was actually always blabbing about my future work in the university – that’s just me getting excited for all the good things to happen.

Then, at 2 pm I had my Physics Lab class — my only class this day. And, to add to my happiness, we were dismissed 2 hours early by our professors since that was just our first meeting. I went home immediately, eager to tell my parents about the interview. After that, the happy feeling was still there knowing that by this scholarship I would be able to lessen the burdens of my parents.

Well, that was until I got another text message regarding the interview. `good feelings=gone`.

The Academic Affairs people(?) wants me to go back tomorrow at their office to have another interview — obviously, my “supposedly” interviewer was not around earlier — though I was interviewed by someone at their office already — so she hasn’t been able to meet me today. So the FINAL interview is going to happen tomorrow. AND. I’m sooo feeling nervous. I hope that everything will turn out okay as it did today, and that I will soon be a certified working scholar. Cheers for me. whew. :D

A very tiring day is again about to come to an end. But in every ending, there is always a new beginning.

Ay gumaganon ako. Anyway, VERY tiring talaga ang araw na ito. Successful naman ang paglipat ko ng section. Hmm. Oh, and by the way, thanks to the following people:
Jaja – for keeping me company kanina. haha! :) thanks. :D

Jaun – thanks ng super sa pagsulat nung letter for Sec Gen. haha. :)

Clarence – thank you din sa pagsama-sama sa’kin sa Dean’s Office at sa pagsama kanina habang naghihintay.

Janette – salamat sa 100 mo!!!! haha! dahil sa yo nabusog ako kanina! haha! :)) Am i still in debt? wahaha! Joke joke! :)

Jaun ulit, Iice, Tij, Phi at sa lahat ng ngcontribute para sa love letter ko kay Sec Gen. – ayan na yung dahilan. Haha! at saa pagtatalo talo kung in o of ba ang gagamitin. Haha! :))

Evil jorwin maraming thanks sa pagsama sa pagharap kay EVIL A.S. gets?. haha! at sa pag-answer sa lahat ng queries ko regarding the dropping/adding of subjects. :D

And as for the scholarship thing, :) tomorrow’s my interview. Hopefully makuha ako. :D In spite of all ng hirap na dinanas ko ngayon (sa pagbalik balik ko sa Eng’g Building at Tan Yan Kee)……………….. whew! Sana..

Visited Sir Alex’(Dep’t Head of ICS) office earlier to get form 6a. Why? I’d drop my current courses para makalipat ng section. Why again? I need afternoon sched para makuha ang scholarship.

For the nth time, why? It’s better not to think negative things, pero nakakainis talaga. >..<

I HOPE it's not too late. Hindi lang naman ako ang applicant for the scholarship. err. Kabado lang. :D

.75-oz unflavored gelatin (3 envelopes of Knox gelatin)
1/2 cup cold water
2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 cups light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
